Holding a Donation Drive is a great way for a group of community-minded people - such as students, workplace colleagues or building tenants - to clear out their unwanted items while enabling the creation of more jobs in the community. It is also a good way to protect the environment by supporting the re-use of goods and diverting them from the landfill. Revenues raised through the sale of the merchandise fund Goodwill’s core mission: creating work opportunities for people facing serious barriers to employment, including persons with disabilities, youth at risk, the chronically unemployed, Aboriginal people and newcomers to Canada.
