| What do you do?
Our main purpose is to offer access to work to those who face employment barriers.
How can business activities help people with disabilities?
Our businesses provide an opportunity and a special work environment where people with a disability and lack of work experience can learn skills, acquire work experience, gain confidence and build their self-esteem until they are ready for competitive employment in the community.
What are your business activities?
We operate community retail stores to sell merchandise donated by the public at stores and donation centres throughout Greater Toronto, Central and Eastern Ontario. This is the enterprise activity by which most people recognize us and have supported Goodwill for many years. However, we also offer other business services including Environmental (Janitorial) Services.

- They must be able to provide self-care (i.e. eating, restroom, etc.)

Who specifically do you serve?
Goodwill serves people facing barriers to employment - among them, at-risk youth, the old, new Canadians and the disabled.
What kind of training do you provide?
Goodwill offers our program participants a unique opportunity to work and learn new skills through our R.E.A.C.H. (Real Employment to Achieve Community Health) employment initiative. For people with little or no work experience or marketable skills, R.E.A.C.H. serves as a first job - an opportunity to obtain essential experience and to develop transferable skills.
Participants are assigned to paid employment in order to gain work experience and to learn how to function effectively in a work environment. Goodwill knows that sustained employment is a process; not an event. Treating people with dignity and respect offers them hope for a better future.
We tailor our services to the needs of participants and the labour market, providing sector-based R.E.A.C.H. employment through our lines of business: Customer Service/Retail; Environmental Services.
