Stretch your back to school dollar by shopping at Goodwill!
From clothing to home fashions Goodwill has it all.

TORONTO, ON - Thursday, August 11, 2005
- Back to School is the time to buy clothes and home fashions for the new school year. Goodwill stores have stocked up on brand name clothing and stylish home fashions just for students and their parents.

Goodwill carries a wide array of new brands and styles that arrive daily at every one of Goodwill’s 32 locations. Clothing ranges from vintage jeans, polo tops and golf shirts, t-shirts, shorts, jackets, sweaters and shoes. Brands often seen at Goodwill include Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Mexx and even Lacoste. “I found a great pair of Diesel jeans at Goodwill that I matched up with my Aritizia top and the combination looked fabulous!” said 22 year old Diana Pace. “I purchased 3 great outfits for under $30!”

Home fashions include gently used office furniture such as desks, lamps and chairs along with decorative items such as picture frames, candleholders and collectibles. Students can even stock up on pots, pans, cooking utensils, glassware and dishes. “I was able to put together a whole bedroom set including a desk, chair and chest of drawers for under $50. The furniture is in great shape and will definitely last my entire academic career.” said Guelph University student Hagai Fleiman “As well, I paid $9.99 for a wooden nautical mirror that looks just great above my headboard. It gives the room character and I’m sure it would have cost over $200 at another store.”

Items at Goodwill are either new or gently used and are always sold for well below their retail value. This means there are great deals for students and budget minded parents who want to stretch their budgets. Other home furnishings available include curtains, bed linens, and carpets.

Goodwill’s Back to School staple sale also includes great deals on denim. You’ll find brand names such as Parasuco, Levis, Guess Jeans and many more. As new items are brought into stores on almost an hourly basis, customers are advised to check in often.

Goodwill is a registered charity whose mission is to provide work opportunities and skills development to people facing barriers to employment. Its operation of 43 retail outlets and donations centres and other lines of business is its means to deliver its mission throughout Greater Toronto, Central and Eastern Ontario.
