TORONTO, December 9th, 2009 – Goodwill Toronto, Nine West Canada and Sherson Group, Inc. have teamed up to offer Canadian women a chance to give back to their communities and look great at the same time, because giving is “good for your sole.”

Women across Canada have until Sunday, December 13, to bring their favorite “previously loved” or gently used shoes, boots or handbags to any Nine West, Easy Spirit, Nine West Shoe Studio, or Madison Shoes and Accessories store and get $20 off any $100 purchase.

Products donated to these stores will be sold at Goodwill retail stores across Canada, where the revenues will fund job-training programs, employment placement services and other community-based programs for people who have disabilities, lack education or job experience, or face other employment challenges.

In keeping with the spirit of this program, consumers dropping off donations at their local Goodwill store during this period will also receive a $20 Nine West savings card, as a gesture of thanks for their generosity.

“The Good for Your Sole campaign provides consumers with the opportunity to give their gently used shoes to Goodwill for re-sale, to enable people facing employment barriers to access a job,” said Dr. Ken Connelly, President and CEO of Goodwill Toronto.
