TORONTO (Monday June 20, 2011)
- Making hockey, Canada’s national sport, accessible to more families
in Toronto is the goal of the Hockey ReUse Equipment Bank, the partnership
between Goodwill, The City of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Hockey
League (GTHL). Throughout the summer, Goodwill will be accepting hockey
equipment at 9 Goodwill locations in Toronto.
Goodwill’s goal is to collect equipment that can then be resold at
affordable prices at Goodwill’s Hockey ReUse Equipment Bank at 350
Progress Avenue in Scarborough. The Hockey ReUse Equipment Bank is
slated to open early September prior to the 2011 – 2012 hockey season.
All equipment will be cleaned using FRESH GEAR’s chemical-free dry
Cleaning Machine. Fresh Gear is the official supplier to Hockey Canada.
“Fresh Gear’s goal since 2005 is to keep athletes safe by ensuring
that the gear intended to protect them is not a source of harm.” says
Mike Antinozzi, President and Founder of Fresh Gear |
